Our Mission
The Durham University Economics Society is proud to champion all-things Economics since 2011. We are dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge within our discipline, fuelled by an enthusiasm for its objectivity and scientific rigor as the 'dismal science'. We seek to promote academic intrigue through our speaker events and the publication of our Economics journal, provide career opportunities to support our members through to the next stage of their adult life, and foster a tight-knit community through our social events. In short, it's our mission to live and breathe Economics.

We invite highly-respected academics, leading politicians, and pre-eminent economists for fortnightly speaker events.
Careers Opportunities
We work closely with our sponsors to connect Durham University’s best and brightest Economics students with the UK’s top employers.
Economics Journal
We provide a forum for open and free discussion on all-things Economics through our publication, Ceteris Paribus.
Society-Department Relations
We work closely with the Economics Department to improve the student experience at Durham University.
